The good and the bad

Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help.

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed.

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

Take care peeps

Sandra x ️X

  • Oh.... just t say.... a while ago a number of us were talking about using emojis..... has everyone noticed there are some to pick from in the grey banner you get when you are writing a post (to the right of the picture attachment icon). Click on it to get a selection. I know some are using already but for some reason I’ve just recently spotted it :D :p ;) lol x

By the by, even reading your posts about food makes me put on half a stone.

    Sundial

  • Lol ... I’m cutting back too ha ha.

I have lost 1 stone 3 lb though. Slow.... so slow... but steady .... I’ll get there ( not sometime soon but sometime lol) x

  • Morning everyone :)

Happy new windscreen day Sandra .....hope it’s a dry day for the fitting!

one of the good things about having to rest a lot is books :) ....hardest bit is staying awake reading lol....enjoying Diane Chamberlain, Amanda Prowse and Milly Johnson at the moment....bit of a mix and have 3 on the go at a time...upstairs, downstairs and kindle lol

found a colouring in app....it’s very addictive and no thinking required :D, just dab the colours in the spaces and finish off with a quick push of a button for effects....am liking watercolour finish :) I’m no artist but I could easily be one using the app :D:D:D

good......sunshine yay....trip to plant nursery, owner is grumpiest man in the world but his plants are great and cheaper than garden centre.....no cafe there for coffee and cake though

    bad...none

hope the sun shines for everyone xxx

  • Yes - colouring is very therapeutic.

Went to see my very dear friend yesterday - she's been given 4 to 6 months. Couple of weeks ago it was not so serious ampullary cancer. After a PET scan it has spread to liver and it's secondary. This bas**** disease. We are just trying to get over her husband's passing. Ladies enjoy every single day and tell those that show you love that you love them. Umpteen virtual hugs to you all.
