The good and the bad

Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help.

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed.

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

Take care peeps

  • Ah I get the new start thing. Ikea.... ha ha .... I love it. Don’t go often cos takes a day heh heh.

I love the stuff ... I’m a sucker for things that double up. I’ve got a coffee table in conservatory that has a swing up mechanism to make the table taller so lil ones can do crafts or can comfortably eat food at it....love it. Couple of stools that stack so use as a nest of tables when not being used as stools.

    Yup love ikea lol x

  • Hi ladies,

I am sorry to disregard everyone's last posts but I have news and am in shock. After reading various posts about fec chemo and fertility it is not thought to affect it and periods apparently return to normal fairly quick. Well I finished in September and no sign of a period so decided to do a pregnancy test. Literally did it 5 mins ago and there's no question its positive!! I'm elated, scared, confused, happy, anxious....everything rolled into one. Things aren't exactly normal between me and Jamie which is why I haven't told him. First thing I did was come to this forum. So many question for oncologist. I'm scared as been having radiotherapy and perception and also drinking alcohol. Oh God! Still in shock. Please someone give me some words of wisdom xx
