Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help. 

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed. 

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

    Afternoon ladies,

    Good luck with the scan on Monday Warriorqueen!

    Good.... Had my dressings off and after the initial shock of my nippleless boob I'm feeling really pleased with how it's gone. Hopefully another step forward to getting rid of this evil illness. Getting closer to results next Wednesday so fingers crossed for them. Was Jamie's bday yesterday so cooked a lovely meal but proper celebrations tomorrow when we take the new boob out for a dance! Will probably drink shots and make *** of ourselves....or *** in my case lol

    Bad.....my best friend has been fast tracked to the breast clinic for suspected cancer due to the lump in her breast she's had for the past 6 months. She didn't want to tell me initially due to what I was going through but glad she did. She's 43 and got 4 year old boy and 1 year old daughter and is the most loveliest person. If it is bad news just proves this disease really does not discriminate. Makes me soooooo angry.

    Anyways rant over....... have a lovely afternoon all. Sun is shining :-)

    Fingers crossed WQ and Dizzle and sorry to hear about your friend. 

    I don’t know if it’s fate or what but I feel like bad news just keeps rolling in this year. Shortly after my op my dad had a heart attack and now  today a friend told me brother is being taken off life support after a road accident. 

    Life eh? Maybe the universe is trying to give me some perspective.

    Hi ya ladies .. just answered a thread by " Carleyjane " newly diagnosed with breast cancer .. shes so scared of chemo ... and think she could do with your wonderfull support ...

    I am so sorry to hear about your friend. It always seems so much worse when there are young children in the family.

    I hope that you enjoyed your dance last night.

    I'm sure that you feel time is standing still waiting for your results.

    I’m so sorry t hear about yr friends brother mrsfingers. 

    Bless...I think before diagnosis I was kinda in my own cocoon of ignorant bliss. Now I see so much on this site and once people know about u they open up and tell u about their experiences. So feels like its suddenly all around me but in fact it always was :’-(

    So... we do look at life differently...but it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t b happy when we can b. Embrace every day and hold loved ones close... not because of yr diagnosis but because we should always b living our lives like this. ️

    bad :- non yay

    good :- my stripping days are over ( wallpaper stripping). Today I become a scrubber... as I scrub down the walls t remove all traces of wallpaper paste offa the walls....yay <-  that yay is sarcasm ;-)
