The good and the bad

Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help.

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed.

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

Take care peeps

Sandra x ️X

  • Thanks Sandra just wondered if I had missed a message from Cornish! If you or any of the other ladies has a few minutes there’s a new lady who’s just got her results and needs some advise about a chest x-ray?? I don’t know the answer but wondered if someone could help her please. I know Jolamine was also on the thread Keli-lump in breast

thank you big hugs to everyone x

  • Morning everyone. Hope all is ok with you all. Been difficult to keep up with posts with so much going on. Well I'm still in hospital as I was losing too much fluid into my drains but they should hopefully be being taken out today. Just waiting for docs to do their rounds so I'll know what's what later. I miss my little Roxy roo (the dog) so much but FaceTime her every night lol. Jamie has been in at 6.30am every morning bringing me goodies before work bless him. Just be stressful for him doing paramedic exams and worrying about me but he's been so good. Had loads of visitors too. Even from my mum and sister!!!! Shock! Although before my mum came up....I had everyone telling me how well I looked and how I suited short hair nowits growing back so being all chuffed I sent a pic to my mum and she just told me I looked awful and that she doesn't want pics like that sent to her. I was so upset I cried. How nasty. She obviously felt bad as when she visited she couldn't stop saying how I suited the grey colour. To be fair I shouldn't expect anything other than negative comments. Anyways apart from that doing well and hope you ladies are too. Have a lovely day xx

  • This is what is sent to warrant that negative comment

    Hi Dizzle,

Don't worry about what anyone says, I think you look fantastic.

How is the chest feeling today - is the fluid still building up? I hope that you get home soon.

    Thinking of you.

    Hi Sandra,

Not happy with removing all that wallpaper, I see that you have to incorporate some acrobatics too - Glad to hear that nothing is broken and that you're ok.

I know that women can multitask, but one job at a time is my advice!

    Regards,

    Jolamine xx
