The good and the bad

Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help.

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed.

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

Take care peeps

  • Didn't mind too much, will be taking time off next week in lieu whether they like it or not.

  • Go u love the I do t take hostages approach ;-)

u doing owt tday... I’m still happily in garden- about to have lunch... love eating outdoors x

  • Been to the pub for lunch with son and currently crashed in front of the tv, tennis is on, apparently.

Been for a hair cut, had it cut a lot shorter last time so have just had it tidied up. I put a colour on it last week, not the best idea I’ve ever had, it looked like cheap ketchup when it was wet and was very very auburn/ginger for a few days. It’s the colour I used to be about 20 years ago but it’s a bit unnatural these days I think. Oh well, it’ll wash out! It’s faded a bit already.

Have been toying with the idea of cutting it all off for charity, hairdresser says she’ll do it for me if I do decide to go ahead with the idea. Something along the lines of brave the shave but maybe not quite bald?!

  • Oooh love me a good ole pub meal :-)

there is apparently a football match on too... neither tennis or football are my thing but..., whoever is ours I hope the win lol.

lots of blokes at shops earlier balancing foods for barbecue on top of tha box of their fav bevy... I believe this is ritual pre match behaviour for none players;-)

daughter went from reallly long hair to having it cut really short.... said she preferred it long so...,grew it back - it’s really long again. So... not permanent if u choose to :-)

what is your natural colour now... youngest granddaughter is a red head .... looks dark auburn when in doors but almost translucent full on ginger in sunlight! X

  • It’s probably beat described as a washed out chestnut heavily laced with grey!

  • Ah the hair colour equaliser.... grey. I used t have reallly dark brown hair... it’s now a blonde/grey. Everyone was saying oh u have gone blonde... nope my hair went this colour all on its own lol.

    Here’s my lil ginger ️

  • Proper little copper top!

The pic you posted a couple if months ago of yours was lovely.

note to self, if you are going to mop the floor, don’t do it when wearing your ladies of a certain age white linen trousers, the result isn’t a good look!

  • Ah yes watched tennis - my fave Nadal was playing and won so am happy. Have some friends around so watching the football. Yep I've turned into a bloke altho am not drinking beer....

I still want to dye the ends of my hair blue. And I want a tattoo- yep mid life crisis happening! I just think life is for living and why not! Go ginger, green or blue. As long as you're happy.

Family time is so precious. 2 weeks exactly until I see my son and get to hug him. CANNOT WAIT!

It's too hot - hope everyone is doing ok in this extreme heat. Enjoy your day ladies.

GOOD... sis is settling in her care home and is now helping all the other ladies in there ... they said they'll have to give her a carers uniform soon ... so relieved ... 2) FOOTBALL'S COMMING HOME... well done lads ... 3) my little 12 year old Citroen c3 passed it's M O T ... lve had it from new ...

Bad ... can't think of anything today ... Chrissie
