Day one of count down to radiotherapy.   Our elder daughter rings us and says we have been amazing ?  Thank you I tell her, we have tried our best to not upset everyone else's lives.  How lovely to be called amazing,  it's surprising how cancer brings out the best in you all and not just the worst.  I am allowed to go shopping and have coffee and cake with my best friend, so nice.  Back home and our lovely neighbour  calls, come in we say, happy news chemo has finished,  but he has bad news himself.  Sit and tell us we say we can cope with anything  but he is flying to Cyprus as his sisters husband has died on the first day of their holidays aged 55 years and she is bereft, it is true, there is always someone in a worse situation than yourself.   Safe journey , and hope all goes well.
