My dad will be finishing his full course chemo and radiation treatment for stage 3B. But the doc cant gurantee that the cancer is gone or still there and will only arrange a scan 3 month later. What are the chances the cancer is still there?
I wish I could answer your question, but there is no definitive answer. I expect that the doctor doesn't make arrangements for a scan until 3 months after treatment has finished, because the treatment possibly keeps working for about this length of time. I am not a medic and I have breast cancer, so this is more of a guess than anything else.
I do hope that when he gets his scan he gets good news.
