Second round of chemo

Just been prescribed a second lot of chemo for my Primary peritoneal cancer. Have been happily leading a near normal life for a year while being treated with Avastin but it seems that is no longer working. I am quite strong and from being diagnosed in 2015 I have raged at the cancer everyday and determined not to let it get the upper hand.

I feel that I have climbed the mountain and now the cancer is mocking me as if to say you didn't think you were getting of that lightly, now go and climb that higher mountain!

When I asked my oncologist what happens after this next lot of chemo she said we just carry on with the plan (whatever that is).

Very depressed!

  • How awful for you.  Life is so hard, my hubby had his leg amputated 8 yesrs ago and we were just getting back to a normal existence when along comes stage four lung cancer and we are back to square one.   But, we have lived through trauma before and will get through this again.  I can only say you have found coping mechanisms previously so put them into play again, use your strength and rely on others as much as you can.  Chat when you need to and stay strong.
