Hi
good luck for today, I'm sure you'll be fine and just relax, let me know how you get on, my chemo is 10am today so late finish, might get home for 6pm if I am lucky.

I have chemo 9.30 and radio 1.15 so also a long day!
Tx
Hi
Can't believe how long your day is, adding to your tiredness too x
Chemo at 9.30, all went well. Managed to sit still for the duration bar having 4 wees and managing to bend the needle which set the pump alarm off.... usual for me!
Radio at 1.15 on a machine much bigger than the one I was measured on so that was a surprise. Took a bit longer as had to have the pre chat and the measuring tags on, the mini ECG things. Otherwise all good. Do you have a shape developing of your target area? The pre chat showed me the area being zapped on the scan printouts and said the irregular shape will become visible on my skin...?!
It feels ok to have the first of each as it calms the nerves a little, a little.
When is your internal? How are you feeling about it? Nervous or resigned to it now?
Sincerely hope you are managing x
Keep kickin'

Hi
glad things went alright except for bending the needle.
I had 7 wees lol
don't know about shape developing .
My internal is 21st to 23rd august then I guess recovery which the radiotherapy person said going back to work, i am probably looking at end of September. I am alright about the internal radiotherapy just not forward to staying in .

Hi
You are brave re the braccy treatment. Why does the stay in worry you? I read your hubby is diabetic, worried about him?
My radio nurse said today that they offer braccy to ladies that they know it will kill it, clear it gone...that boosted me a bit and I hope does you too.
Are you on tablets too? The steroids made me feel very odd!
Raining and cold here but staying positive.
Thinking of you

Hi
yeah worried about him but I guess he will be ok.
Yes I take aspirin every day, anti sick for 5 days and steroids for 2 days after chemo.
I don't know if it's the food I am eating or the tablets but my wind is really disgusting and stinks really really bad hahaha
stay strong

Hi
How are you feeling? Ready for Monday? Are you in for 3days? Mine is once a week for three sessions.
Is your daughter looking in on hubby while you are in?
Second chemo today, steroids intravenous which gave my bits pins and needles. A rather strange sensation that everyone else found hilarious. I know what you mean about the wind. I blame the drugs I spoke to the consultant about the bleeding and have been given strong cocodamol which will also firm up the loose stools....
Your hair ok? mine is but I have occasional bad breath instead. Are you managing day to day? Not too fatigued? I find the appointments easy but a dragnet exactly a fun thing to hop out of bed for! Although the staff are great. Did you find a Demystifying Oncology course? Well worth looking out for.
I hope the sun is shining for you
Keep kickin'

Hi
ok now about Monday but it could 3-5 days depending how my body reacts to the treatment but saying if they can't get applicator in the right place then I might have go back the following week and try again so praying it will alright on Monday.
My daughter lives st home, she's only 15
That good that you've got the bleeding sorted n
My hair is fine not lost any so far as the chemo I am on worst that could have happen was it to thin out but it hasn't even done that.
My days normally go treatment back for lunch and fall asleep in front of the to haha
no I didn't find a course, didn't look at my local hospital and the one that I am having treatment is 50 minutes away and I get pick up by hospital transport not one of those with ambulance men but a car with a driver and sometimes I am in my own and some other people going for treatment are in it too, they only pick up for radiotherapy .
Yes the sun has it's hat on heehee hoe it is for you too.
Stay strong

Hi
Seems like you have the routine sorted, I found that difficult at first. So different from usual day to day stuff.
My coldsore turned out to be a spot but better safe I guess. Apparently coldsores and chemo don't mix too well.
I'm lucky in that I have my own transport and hospital is only half an hour away but I'm still there 6hrs on chemo days, luckily with reduced rate parking.
Also no side affects other than tired, slightly higher appetite and so bored of water!
Thinking of you
Keep Kickin'
