Hi
good luck with the treatment x.
I have side effects pain in thighs and oh my constipated well I was now I am paying for taking too much laxative haha hands are covered in bruises from the chemo. On my 3rd lot of chemo Monday and my 10th radiotherapy tomorrow.
Last weekend Saturday I went into work just to chat to the other Carers and some of the clients but I only lasted 4 hours and I was shattered,Sunday I went shopping in the morning and chilled out on the sofa in the afternoon.
This weekend I may go into work again Saturday but I'll see how I go and what infections are in the home as I don't want to pick up any illness as I don't want to end up in hospital if I can help it.

Hello,
Sorry for crashing your conversation! I had the internal radiation, six doses. I had cervical stent put in so they could deliver the high dose radiation to the tumor. The set up seemed to take the longest, it was quite the procedure! But, it didn't hurt and I got through it.. just some cramps when they were setting things up.
I am keeping you and Limesbabe in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi LauraP
Welcome to our chat :)
It's good to hear what others are experiencing on a similar journey. I am not looking forward to the internal stuff but all part of the process I guess (gulp!)
My full appointment list arrived today, phew what a battle plan. It is good to be able to see and plan it all though.
Which county are you in? I am Hampshire with really supportive Macmillan ladies at the hospital.
Stay strong x
I am in the states.I was lucky to have a clinic that had great staff. I still see them, every 6 months for a check up. I happened onto this website at a very low point and joined. So glad I did, I've made some good friends. And, it is comforting to talk to people no matter what point you are at in this journey. Let me know if you have any questions I might be able to answer since I've been through it already.

Hi Limesbabe
How are you feeling? Are the side affects few and manageable? I hope you are both coping with all the travel back and forth to hospital.
Are you having nice treats at the weekend to keep morale up?
Sorry for all the questions, I've been thinking of you and sincerely hope you are breezing through.
Kick that cancer's butt!

Hi Toblerone :D
Hope your alright :D
I am feeling mixed have bad and good days, Good days feeling aright and able to do something, Bad days effects are taking place, constipation is the main one but i have swapped white bread for brown bread and it seems to be working. Last couple of days i have been experiencing hot flushes whether these are blood pressure due to family life or start of menopause i don't know i am 13 days into my radiationtherapy and i have 3 chemo's now :D so half way.
So far weekends i have popped into work to see everyone for 4 hours, and then just chilled out on the sofa and popped to the retail park just to get out the house as money is not on our side while i am not working.
Kick cancer's butt
