Just been diagnosed with breast cancer a month ago and luckily all bone and CT scans show it it is 'just' in my breast and lymph node. Awaiting chemo, hormone block and then full mastectomy. Very scared but trying to be positive.
I have had a double mastectomy and although I was terrified at the thought of surgery, it all went very well. It is not easy to be positive at this stage, but try to keep yourself as busy as you can. This stops you from dwelling 100% on your diagnosis and treatment and helps to pass the time a little quicker.
