Hi my partner is going to Oxford tomorrow to see if he can go on a trail for advanced melanoma.
He has been on Pembro in the past but unfortunately it didn't work.
Is there anyone on here who can give us a pep talk?

Hi Gillian,
I noticed that Moderator Steph has replied to your other post, but I just wanted to see how your partner's trip to Oxford went yesterday? We're here to listen if you'd like to stop by and update us on how things are going.
I also wanted to mention Macmillan's Melanoma discussion group, which is currently quite active, just in case it's of interest!
Wishing you both all the best and hoping yesterday went well,
Helen

Hi there Unfortunately we didn't make Oxford as Dave my partner had a bad night and I had to call in the Paramedics yesterday morning. He's back home now and his steroids Dexamethasone has been increased which is a shame as he was coming off it. Also his eye is very swollen after his treatment of Radiotherapy. So now it's disappointing that we had to cancel but hopefully we will get a new appointment as the future isn't looking that bright. We're always optimistic and have had marvellous care from all the guys at Southampton General. (Great team) Will keep you all updated on any news going forward Gillian
