hello

I have recently had all the treatments for Vulva cancer.  Including surgery and radiotherapy.  Now I am facing Lymphodema.  I feel depressed and sad most of the time and just keep crying.

No one understands what I am going through.  Sometimes I feel like my family really don't even care about what I am going through.

:(

  • im sure they do care but find it difficult, you have been through a lot but be proud of yourself how far you have come, try and take everday as it comes,im on my 2nd cancer journey and have found that all the telephone numbers and help lines we are given really do help and totally understand what we are going through,

  • Hello Bonnie

Thank you for your reply... sometimes I think it might be easier to talk to a stranger and get more empathy.  You are brave and I wish you well.  I agree that the telephone numbers they provide are really helpful and with such lovely people just willing to listen to you and offer great advice.

As the lymph nodes in my groin were removed during the surgery as they suspected that cancer had spread to them.  So now my thighs have begun to retain water and become swollen.  The surgery and radiotherapy also brought on Menopause and this is affecting my joints and mood.

Have you had chemotherapy or just radiotherapy?  I was only given 1 dose of chemotherapy as I became quite ill from it.  Even with just one dose, I have had so many side effects from it.

God bless you on your journey and please keep in touch.

    xx
