Hello, I finished radiotherapy 4 weeks ago following surgery for breast cancer in November. I'm now on Tamoxifen and I feel awful on them, so drained and tired. Anyone else feel like this on this medication?
Different cancer but my husband is perminently exhausted from radiotherapy, he finished on 27th Jan and is just so washed out, we were told that radio continues to work for weeks after treatment finishes, hopefully you will start to improve as your radio was so recent x
Hi I was diagnosed with breast cancer & had lumpectomy a month ago. The tiredness is your body's way of asking for rest. It is extremely frustrating as i was someone who was a get up & go & do. But if i dont pace myself & come to terms with what I'm capable of on any given day then i feel worse so have now learned to do that. It makes it better overall for me & my family. I'm extremely independent so that was a hard lesson as well. Just go with the flow & the symptoms of all the stress your body has been & is going through will settle. Some days i feel awful & just want to cry so i do then get on with it. Hormones are a real controller so tamoxifen will need time. Be patient & not too hard on yourself as we're dealing with a lot.
