I'm glad to hear you were able to have surgery to remove the lump and lymph nodes Becky although I'm sorry to hear you have pain in your shoulder. I hope it's not too painful but if it is maybe you could let your medical team or GP know to see if they can give you some advice on how to manage the pain.
There are many members on the forum that have also had or have breast cancer and hopefully some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice. Do feel free to look around the forum as well and find other discussions about this by using the 'search forum' option above.

I had an operation on 18.1.17 a mastectomy and lymph nodes removed and my shoulder also hurt and under my arm. It is only now that I am feeling a lot better although the exercises they have given me still hurt. Keep going with it as each day you will get a bit better. I start chemo again next week but I know it is helping. Wishing you all the best Lorraine xx
Hi Becky, I had the same operation as you on 21.11.16 right side mastectomy & 17 lymph nodes, although I hadn't had shoulder pain my armpit was numb for ages, the exercises do work I can now lift my arm above my head and out to side almost back to normal, my armpit is still completely numb but feeling in the top of the arm is coming back, I'm told this will take some time and guess there is some nerve damage, but as Lorraine says it will get better, I'm new to all this too, had my second chemo yesterday.
