Information welcome

Hi,

hello to everybody, my first time here

. I had lung cancer surgery around 18 months ago and recently been getting very severe pain in the right side of the neck somewhere by the windpipe when swallowing, but not every time, the pain knocks you sideways. Just wondered if anyone else has had the same symptoms, any information would be helpful. I also have Parkinson's, but it does not seem to relate in any way to that.

thanks

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat David.

I'm glad to hear your surgery for lung cancer 18 months ago was successful although I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing rather bad pain in the right side of neck at the moment.

Hopefully others who have been in the same situation with similar symptoms will reply soon but in the meantime maybe you could give our cancer nurses a call and have a chat with them about this? IYou can call them from a UK landline for free on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. Do also mention this to your doctor or medical team as well if you haven't done so already as they should be able to give you some advice on how to manage the pain as well.

    Kind Regards,
