Hello Cancer Chat community! My name is Jordan, I am currently 18 years of age. Here to write about the past year of my eventful life.
I was diagnosed with refractory Hodgkins Lymphoma two days before christmas in 2015 - what a time right? Symptoms of the disease were merely put down as Asthma. Which I was treated for, to no avail. The next port of call was Cancer - but what 17 year old considers the possibility that they have Cancer? No person should have to deal with the atrocities of Cancer, nor the subsequent roots that it embeds in your life; but a 17 year old!? That's just cruel. To make matters worse for myself, I was diagnosed at the age of 14 with Pilocytic Astrocytoma - a form of brain tumor in the cerrabellum. This was treated as a benign tumor; but the riples of devastation that it left in its absence still linger.
My life is chaotic to say the least, everyday I am reminded of the constant battle I am facing. But to this day, and hopefully to the last day, I refuse to end my fight; after all, my life depends on it.
To all those currently fighting this war, alongside someone, or for yourself, my heart goes out to you. This is one horrible battle, riddled with pain and suffering - but fight well, the war needs a soldier!
I could easily write pages of content, but this is just my 2 cents. :)
