Post surgery facial cancer scars

HI everyone! Great to be on board.

Over the last 6 months I have had three skin cancers removed.  The two on my body do not worry me but the one on my face is traumatic for me.  I had to have flap surgery under my nose, above my mouth.  It looks unsightly and have become withdrawn, not wanting to go any where.  It has been 2 months since the surgery.And seems to be getting g worse rather than better.  Are there any cosmetic avenues to go down to try and diminish the scar? 

I would be so grateful for any info on this.  Thanks In advance.

    I'm glad you have been able to have three skin cancers removed although I'm sorry to hear that the scarring from the surgery on your face is making you feel this way. I hope you get to meet others soon that have also been in this situation but in the meantime I have had a look on our website and have found some information here that may be of use to you.

    I would also recommend giving our cancer nurses a call as they will definitely be able to give you some information regarding this. You can call them for free from a UK landline on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.
