My daughter has had her first chemo (she had the cold cap on ) and her hair has started to fall out, she is so
upset about it and is not postive about her breast cancer now. How can I help her get though this.

hi meyou52, that is so sad i read back on your posts and both your daughters now have cancer, what anguish you must be going through, i hope with treatment and determination and positive thoughts and fighting for all they are worth, they can beat it... tell her that there are beautyfull clip in hair pieces, the stars use, that she could try for as long as possible , but what i do know, is when it grows back, tell her it will be thicker and stronger and more beautyfull, i have heard this a lot, even my husband who beat testicle cancer 2008 that had spread, his hair came back better than ever.. my dad at the moment has terminal brain tumour , told him 2 years, but we are determined to beat that length of time, we will, we can, and we will never let it win.. i am sending you understanding and as much strength as i can, you sound like a very supportive mother, and i know you, like me. will do everything you can to help them..it really does help, positive thinking, and healthy eating, i wish you all the best, and your daughters all the best in there continued treatment, so many people here thousands to offer help if we can, and support, and so many outlive and beat there cancer, you fight for your lives, like my husband and my dad, and you prove this horrible disease can be beaten, reaching through the screen to give you hug, you will need support to, dont forgrt to look after yourself, ... cococat / rach:)
Your poor daughter - and you who sees how upset she is. I lost me hair this year and was so upset but found this was short lived. I got a wig or two that I hated but after a couple of weeks was so over the hair issue with everything else that was going on. She I hope will also get used to it and start not caring - my hair is now so thick although short but also very curly - never been curly in my life! So was very upset but this passed quickly. Have hope your daughter will be the same and this is just a little blip that is a necessary evil that has to be gone through xxx
