Is it the end?

Hi,

My mum was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in Feb this year, and much to our surprise she is still going strong without having had any treatment, other than her usual painkillers for arthritis and rheumatism. We've had her using lots of alternative and natural remedies, change of diet etc and it seems to have stopped it from spreading? Yesterday she she said she didnt feel well, and today she seems quite ill. It seems like flu symptoms, she had the flu jab a few days ago. Can anyone tell me if this is the start of the end? She wont see a doctor, I think shes scared he will say she has to go to a hospice or something? Any advice or information would be great.

  • HI mayers66 sorry to here about you mum could it be from the flu jab you mum not well sometimes when you have flu jab you do feel unwell and like flu symptoms. I can't answer if it's the end because I dont know only the doctor can tell you . There is information on here . It horrible being in this situation I know what it's like my mother got inoperable bowel cancer we don't know how long she got.  I think she don't want to know . I went up to see here Saturday and she told me she had letter from the hospice she had oppoinment I could see the fear in her eyes she was panicking when she was telling me I'm not going she told me they tell you everything. I told her it your choice. It's so hard for anyone going though this horrible . I hope you mum be ok . Take care.

  • Thank you. Sorry about your mum, its awful isnt it when they are so scared and you cant take that fear away?

  • It's heartbreaking I hate being so helpless you can't do nothing just be there hope you mum ok .

  • HI Mayers66 just wondering how you mum hope you all ok .

  • I ended up calling an ambulance as she was so ill, she was diagnosed with sepsis/pneumonia, apparently this happens with cancer? Shes home now and her insulin levels have gone crazy so shes on injections instead of tablets. She seems worse than before?
  • I'm so sorry to read about you mum I don't know what to say it such horrible sistution to be in my heart goes out to you all :(

  • Hi Mayers. Im not a medical expert but logically, if your mom (with her self-presribe anti cancer protocol) can somehow managed to survive and live a healthy life despite her stage 4 cancer condition, then she must be doing something right. right? Well doctors could tell you something otherwise so its still advisable to consult an expert's opinion not to mention they can medically verify if her alternative cure is effective (and thats a good news for the community overall if it is indeed effective - i for one is interested on such subject). Sepsis/pneumonia, as far as i know, are curable by today's antibiotic treatement (as long as you can arrest the spread of infection before it causes complications). So im thinking (and hoping) that your mother could still be better if she managed to overcome her acute infection.
