Late effects - Chemo veins

I've just been doing some "revision" and noticed that the CRUK web page describing the long term effects of chemo* doesn't mention "chemo veins". Has anyone else had problems with this?

Basically every time anyone tries to take a blood sample, or put a cannula in, the needle bounces off as my veins have hardened. This was never a problem before I went on chemo.

Hi Dave
I had problems with my veins after two cycles of FEC-T, resulting in having to have a central line for the last four cycles. I had to go for a blood test for my calcium level the other week because of the tablet I have to take, after several attempts the nurses couldn't even get a drop of blood. So couldn't get any calcium tablets without bloods taken.

My partner found this problem after only 3 rounds of chemo. He has found that some nurses can handle it better than others...
