Hi joeven,
I'm sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with prostate cancer but I'm pleased treatment is available to you to combat it. I see cococat mentioned on another discussion of yours to find a member on the forum called [@woodworm]. He knows a lot about this subject having been through this himself and now that I've tagged him in this post I'm sure he will reply to offer his support and share his experiences with you when he can.
All the best,

Hi Joeven,
I had radiotherapy and hormone therapy for my prostate cancer. At diagnosis my psa was high at 70 but a few weeks after finnishing r/t it was the lowest they can measure at 0.01.
Before my radio therapy began, Lot of people told me the'd had bad experiance's but I litterally sailed through it and most of was to do with the radio therapy given them the runs. I used Immodium Instants and found them very effective and never had a problem.
Towards the end of the 37 sessions it did sometimes make me feel tired but I did as the lovely nurses suggested and had a short lie down and it worked and I felt okay afterwards.
I can only say to you, I truly believe that the two treatments combined saved my life. If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them.
Wishing you all the best and am sending kind thoughts your way, Brian.
Hi
thanks for that, my PSA was 893 six months ago now down to 0.64, I know I have a lot going on with the bones and lymph nodes. I ve had one radiotherapy on my shoulder ( which was part frozen as well as some c in it ) after about three/ four weeks I developed a square rash under my arm which was a little itchy and sore but a steroid cream has almost cleared that now.
The machine they used was the big radiology, I have heard of the new machine that pinpoints with greater accuracy inside the body has anyone else had this ?
I am 64 and hope to be around a few more years my life style has changed compleatly no alcohol no sweets or chocolate fizzy drinks red meat dairy eg cakes, etc , viewed everything possible to combat this hope what I am doing is working.
thanks for the heads up Brian
