ALK Gene

Hi, I have just joined and here is my story so far. I was diagnosed in 2012 with terminal lung cancer after finding a lump in my neck. I had intravenous chemotherapy and when things started to grow again I was put onto a tablet drug called Crizotinib. Last year things started to grow again and I am now on a drug called Ceritinib. My consultant says I am very unlucky to have cancer but I'm very lucky to have a gene called an ALK gene. I also get private medical cover due to the wonderful company I work for who pay for me. I was wondering if anyone else on here has this gene and how your treatment is going as I fear that this is the last treatment I can try.  I know I am very lucky to have lived so long but am so scared.  I still have so much to live for.
