Today is a day for outward quite reflection, as my thoughts go out to my fellow sufferers and their families who have not been as fortunate as myself and my family.

To those currently going through diagnosis, treatment and recovery, my thoughts also go out to you and your families, on this day.

  • So true Kim, wish there were a LOT more survivors or even better this horrid disease didn't exist! :)  My thoughts though are with those who are still struggling or incurable, even if I am selfishly happy for myself I can never forget to hope and pray they win the battle

    Have a great day!

    JB

  • Thanks Lucie, I am rather chuffed and pray this continues to stay positive news :)

My celebration has turned into a total flat redecoration LOL its going to be fresh and minimalistic by the time I am finished.  3/4 of the way there.

    Enjoy your day

  • Lovely to read your good news JB and hope you will be celebrating in style. Jules

  • Vatch, this is fantastic news.  I had a Squamous Cell Secondary in my Submandibular gland, had my tonsils removed and biopsy of base of tongue but they didn't find the Primary.  I am programmed for Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy in the New Year.  I know it's going to be brutal and would welcome any advice

  • Hi there tough cookie

first and foremost there are many of us on here who have survived this treatment and life is normal.

although the treatment is the same we all have our own personal journeys, some easy some harder than others.

my immediate advise pre going into treatment is eat as much as you can to put on the weight....I put on a stone pre treatment and lost 3.5 stone during ..... this does not always happen

i have given you a link to my blog.

I wrote this blog for the reason explained in it....it's my journey and although yours may be different the stops will be the same

i get people from all over the word ask me questions and get not only those who have cancer but those dealing with loved ones that have cancer.

cancer does not only impact on us who have it...I always said to my wife that I had it easy as I had everyone to look after me, whereas my wife had to watch me go through it and I was conscious of the fact that she was looked after too

enjoy the blog ... if you have a spare week
