Need a little advice

Hi all.

I'm currently undergoing chemo for breast cancer  ( fec t) herceptin

I'm dealing with this fairly well but need advice on an eye injury .... I know.. my 2 yr old grandson accidentally hit me.

What I'd like to know is should I seek professional  advice? My eye looks awful and obviously I've burst a vessel. Is this something to be concerned with especially as having chemo?

Any advice or personal experiences would be appreciated

Thanks

Donna

  • Welcome to the forum Donna.

I'm glad to hear that your chemo for breast cancer is going well and you're managing ok but I'm sorry to hear about your eye. I hope it's not causing you too much pain.

It's always good to be safe and get things checked out, especially if you think you've burst a vessel. If you do see your doctor you can then ask if it is something to be concerned about as you're currently undergoing chemo. As they are medically trained they will be able to diagnose your eye and give you the best advice but in the meantime you are more than welcome to give our nurses a call. If you are in the UK you can call them for free on the following number: 0808 800 4040 and are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Wishing you all the best
