My body... My life!

Yvie Chemo Diary 13 June 2016

Guess what .... met again with my Oncologist and they wanted to put my Epirubicin dosage back up... Apparently the reduction was one off because high liver enzymes in last blood results ... The reduction has made a big difference.
I had to tell them its common sense ... If I am well now ... its because you reduce dosage... And its about my quality life ... Also this is preventative as all cancer was removed .., and you told me that none was eveident in CT scan ...so why would I need a platinum treatment. I left his office so upset and emotionally distraught.... I could not sleep with fear of having to go through all effects on my body again. I then had my usual blood test before Chemo and for the first time my bloods came back normal.... This was evidence that reduced dosage is working! Anyway im at chemo today and am so happy I could cry... They have kept my chemo reduced 125 to 65 ! My nurse has now recorded all my dosages in my Chemo book( cos i want keep an eye on it). I really dont want to be troublesome but as I said before its my body ... And I am living this ... And want a good quality of life during and after this treatment.. I trust the medical profession and believe they are doing everything to help Reduce Cancer... But we have to listen to our own bodies ... What works in some may not work in others and you have to tell them. I have changed the way I eat ... To have a Alkaline body to stay healthy... And be aware of toxics things to reduce my chances and exercise to keep well. I do believe it is about 2 way communication with the Health Professionals and I am so pleased they have listened to me and my blood results.. Which is factual evidence that reduction is better for MY body. The swelling in feet and hands have gone...my joints are a bit stiff... But I am walking more... The blisters are now gone. This means I have a better quality of life whilst going through this treatment. Communication.... Communication... Communication is the key to successful treatment.... Well that is my experience thus far!
