Hi nurse and welcome to the forum though sorry to read what brings you here. The waiting is so hard and it can help to chat here.  My husband's full diagnosis took nearly four months(cancer of the lung linings) as there are usually a few tests/scans and doctors meetings before they can give a full and clearer picture. Are you seeing your GP between hospital appointments as he/she may be able to offer some intermediate medication to help your symptoms.  I do not have medical knowledge myself but you may like to all the nurses on this site 9-5 mon to friday on 0808 800 4040 for a friendly chat/support.Wishing you all the best.
