Welcome to the forum although I'm sorry for the circumstances that have brought you here. I'm sure some of our wonderful forum members will be along shortly but in the meantime, you may wish to post on this thread by Cooki, who has also been diagnosed with kidney cancer.
So sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with kidney cancer, I'm currently having tests. Had a ct scan a few weeks ago which showed a possible mass on my right kidney. Had an ultrasound today. Now got to wait 10 days to see the Urologist for my results. Time seems to be going so slow atm. Can I ask how you were diagnosed/how long it took?
Yes hi because I was diagnosed really by ultrasound they said I had mass onot left kidney and a few days layer ct scan go.Co firm then another a few days layer then consultant saw me and rang me with results city dies seem to drag and very worrying x
Bless you, have they come up with a treatment plan for you yet? must be such a worrying time for you. From what i've read theres alot of support groups out there. Are you able to talk to friends/family about it?x
Hi PAMB76 I have just had the bad news myself mass in right kidney. Waiting for a biopsy to be taken to identify but liely to be cancer. Happy to chat. I live in london. I see Bex87 in a similar situation. Seems little support out in the community in terms of support groups and meetups so happy to chat
Hi my husband had his right kidney and adrenal gland removed 2 years ago due to a mass. Was ok and he had regular 4 monthly CT scans and then a year ago it was actively growing again, in the void and small lesions on his lung and between his ribs. He is now taking Sutent which is a chemo drug. 2 weeks on 1 week off. The cancers have now reduced by half. It is not a cure, he will stay on this regime until it stops working. i had my left kidney and adrenal gland removed in October 2015. Only had one follow up scan 3 weeks ago. Still waiting for results but keeping positive. Pleased to read about the reduction. Hope you're still doing O.K on your medication.
