Pain and recovering

Hi, I had my right kidney removed, part of my vena cava (had cancer n clot) & veins, I am now 8weeks into recovery but I have noticed if I over do it or walk to far I get pains in my chest, it's like when you run to fast & feel winded. I recover pretty quick but it aches for day or so after. Been checked but I am waiting for a scan on my chest. Hoping it's just healing inside. Also not sure how long to have off work or when to drive as I am waiting to see my consultant regarding scans etc

    I am sorry to hear you are getting pains in your chest and I hope you get to have a scan soon. I hope that you have managed to get hold of your medical team to ask these questions. You could also ring our nurses if you want to talk to them or ask them for advice. If you live in the UK, you can reach them on this free number 0808 800 4040. With the Easter bank holiday, their lines will be open from Tuesday at 9am.

    Don't hesitate also if you don't feel well to ring 111 to get checked out if you don't feel well over the Easter weekend. I hope you are enjoying a nice Easter break.
