Hi
My wife was diagnosed three years ago with Lung cancer and had a operation to remove part of one lung.
Apart from the obvious shortage of breath she coped very well.
Last year my wife was diagnosed with stage four Lung Cancer around July last year after requesting a Xray.
Fortunatly her doctor was unsure about the xray and sent her for a CT scan which resulted in the diagnosis.
She went on to have three sessions of Chemo, the good news was that the cancer had not grown at all from the CT scan in October up until the last one in February.
The cancer in her lung is only 3cm in size and she as also got cancer cells in her chest and neck lynth nodes.
She has had some psychological issues coping with this but as now got that under control sort of.
This week she as been complaining of pains in her chest at the location of the lynth nodes and she as developed a cough.
I am unsure if the pain is actually caused by the lynth nodes enlarging or some other reason.
I have tried searching on line but as you are all aware Cancer can develope in different ways for each person.
I just wondered if someone else as memories or is going through this stage and should I try to get her to go for another check up now or just wait till our next visit to the oncologist at the end of the month.
