Has it worked!!!!

Im having immunotherapy treatment at the moment on my last one. Its suppose to be a new drug whats just come into the uk its not chemo. But i got told its a type of chemo im not sure.does anyone know. I liked to no if its worked for anyone else or atleast done something . Thanks x

    Immunotherapy is really an umbrella term that covers a range of different sorts of treatment many of which are in research. It’s not chemotherapy but it can be given alongside this treatment.  Examples are therapeutic cancer vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and a newer class of drugs called check point inhibitors. You could ask your team for the name of your specific immunotherapy.

    Immunotherapy works by encouraging the immune system (the body's natural defence system) to attack cancer cells.  We have some information about immunotherapy on our website here.  There is also information here  that may be of interest.
