Secondary Brain Tumours

Just wondering if anyone can give advice re a situation my brother is currently in. Was diagnosed with lung cancer two years ago and underwent chemo + radiotherapy. Started having seizures early last year and it was discovered he had secondary tumours on the brain. Underwent gamma knife surgery for these. He is currently deteriorating and losing mobility and the ability to process situations etc week on week. He is currently in a hospice but my question is, what is the likelihood of any improvement in quality of life or is this the beginning of a journey for which there's no going back?
