Hating this secondary breast cancer business!!

Hi everyone, its been a little while since i was last here, i was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007, then with lung nodules (one in each lung) in 2012, they removed the right upper lobe of my lung last year and they had to do that to make sure it was secondary breast rather than lung cancer, then last week i got the results of some recent ct scans and apparently i now have what appears to be some area's that have shown up white in the back of my left hip that wasn't there in 2012, so looks like it could be bone mets now, having a bone scan on the 9th of March, then results on the 23rd when i get my four weekly darts in the backside of faslodex.  My onc asked if i had had any pain, but as i have 100mg morphine patches for surgery that i had to my lower spine 3 years ago, it seems that might have masked the pain.  Would love to hear from anyone who is in a simillar position as myself, or just anyone who wants to comment.

  • Hi Sue, i am so glad you are not in my shoes, though you must be affected in some way to be here, but thank you for the lovely hello, and hoping the best for my results xxx its good to have a rant now and again, and i have learnt that its better to be a patient patient, then get too down with the waiting.

    love Alisonxx

    Hello Alison ,

I  haven't bee on here lately and have been reading your post. I had primary  breast cancer 2000 and  last year was diagnosed with secondaries in my lung and brain. I had the brain one removed for diagnosis as the lung was in an awkward position. I am on Letrazole and that is shrinking the lung one . I was going to have surgery but it would have meant removing half of my lung so it was decided to try hormone therapy as it's ER ..Wishing you  all the best with the scans and your health in general.
