Hi lelefairy
Hundreds of millions of people eat turmeric every day as part of the spice for their curries in India. People in India still succumb to cancer every bit as much as we do here in the west, but as most Indian people can't afford expensive hospitals with modern treatment their outlook is poor. Take turmeric by all means, it does have some health giving qualities, but take it in conjunction with your current treatment plan and not instead of it. Kim
If you check the Cancer Research site for Turmeric you will find that they have been doing research and trials in hospitals for several years. They say that turmwric is proven to kill bowel cancer cells that are developing. I believe to be on a trial you have to have bowel cancer that has invaded the liver,
Hello lelefairy123,
A big welcome to our friendly forum.
You can find out more about turmeric usage here, and there’s a more detailed read in our science blog here. I’m also sharing this article Miracle cancer cures? Ask for evidence which urges patients to check out the evidence behind any alternative treatments they might be thinking of taking, and talk it through with a medical professional.
If you would like to discuss any of this further, please do give our friendly nurse team a call on 0808 800 40 40. I hope this information is helpful.
Best wishes,

Large amounts can apparently cause side effects including jaundice, dark urine, nausea, vomiting, unusual tiredness, stomach or abdominal pain, or loss of appetite.
not only that Dave but it can permanently stain and ruin your best shirt.
And your underwear I imagine!
Hi max
nice to see some humour
it also stains kitchen worktops
but I think it does flavour Asian food nicely and has some healthy qualities but I doubt it will cure or prevent cancer.
Kim,
Have you been bugging my house?
That's the only explanation for you knowing about my best shirt being ruined by turmeric lol
Cheers
Dave
