peripheral neuropathy

Just wondered if anyone had advice about peripheral neuropathy symptoms and how to manage them. I am 5 weeks out of docetaxal (had 3 cycles) and the NP seems to be getting worse, especially at night - my hands are red hot, tingly and I get random stabbing pains. No painkillers touch it. Am I being too ambitious to think it should be reducing after 5-6 weeks? Ive got a small very numb area on my foot as well, but it does not stop me walking. Is what I'm describing normal!? Im about to have radiotherapy and have got a years worth of herceptin ahead - and both these can also cause NP, so I am worried about the cumulative effects this is going to have on the Tax symptoms.
