Welcome to this friendly forum. I didnt have bracytherapy for my prostate cancer as I had hormone therapy and radiotherapy. But bracytherapy take a fraction on the time of other treatments and usually causes less side effects tham most other treatments. I have read about the side effects of you dads treatment and the good news is the side effect normally disipate in a matter of a few weeks. If they are causing a problem, I would suggest he contacts his medical team as there are medications available which should help. Please let us know how he gets on.
