As anyone had blood in they bag when on chemo
Have had plenty of chemo and no, never seen blood in the bag - it would have rather a long way to travel as the tubing is around 6ft plus and the machine is a 'giving' device. There may occassionally be a tiny amount in the very last few inches of the tube (nearest you) because the nurse generally draws blood first and then attaches the IV bags with saline or chemo in them but this is nothing at all to worry about!
Some drugs have a reddish tinge - are you sure that isnt what you were seeing?
Thanks but i was ask in about blood in the stoma bag as i have bowel cwncer with liver mets
Ok - now you have made that clear, I can see my answer doesn't apply at all! Can I suggest you call your chemo team and ask them asap. All the best x
