Hey, Is there any one out there with stage 4 breast cancer on TDM1? I am finding it very difficult to tolerate. Has any one had the same reaction. (nausa, throwing up, generally feeling terrible for about a week after infusion)
Hi Mint - yep I did have a course of TDM about 18month ago I think. Sadly it didnt work for me although I know it has helped others.
I think you will find the 'generally feeling awful for around a week' pretty standard with all the drugs and just something we have to come to terms with. There are so many great anti-nausea drugs on the market - make sure that your chemo team prescribe them for you. I have some put through with the infusion - steroids for three days after - and others prescribed for throughout the cycle. Your team should be able to control this for you.
