My wife is not eating much since she started her last 2 chemo sessions, so i was wondering if there is anything you can get that you add to drinks to kind of give her what she might be missing from eating food if you know what i mean?

When I was on chemo, my oncologist advised me to eat anything I fancied, chocolate, cake - as long as I ate something.
I did have quite a lot of homeade soup and homemade thick shakes too - full cream milk, peanut butter and bananas were a favourite.
You can also get food supplements from your local pharmacist to add to milk to make a food replacement.
There is some info on the Macmillan site www.macmillan.org.uk/.../the-building-up-diet.html as well as on this one www.cancerresearchuk.org/.../boosting-energy-in-everyday-foods
Little and often helps.
Best wishes

Hi OMG .... I have a similar problem to your wife with the loss of appetite. Your GP will definitely be able to prescribe her some drinks which contain all the daily vitamins needed etc. I have two a day at the moment alongside whatever I am able to eat and as each drink (they are only very small bottles) contains 300 calories my weight is actually stabilizing now.
I find it pretty difficult to eat a meal but have been doing lots of baking and find it easier to have a flapjack, slice of fruit cake, sausage roll, cheese straws or scone etc several times a day. Bananas seem really easy to eat too and jelly with fruit and yoghurt on top. Also have a passion for cheesy puffs!
It has taken some time to get to grips with the food aspect and chemotherapy but you will find a way. The drinks are a real bonus, so give the GP a ring tomorrow. Sending you and your dear wife all the very best x
