Still Here

Hi Iam 38 years old I have had 3rd of my colon removed , whipples surgery, had my head of pancreas removed as precaution I first got diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2008 I went on to having mild chemotherapy because of my hole in the heart I had at the time. Second bowel cancer 2011 still in remission they say five years but that's only standard my doctor told me could take up to 8-10 depending on the individual . I have found it hard as coming out of remission I'm greatful to be alive .

  • Hi Trix

    Best wishes to you,

  • Hi Trix I'm Kris and 44 I was 42 when I was diagnosed with Oesophegeal cancer and thought I was out of the woods (always worried it would appear again  though) then about a month ago I was told I've got secondary in both lungs and incurable I was/am devastated and so are my kids and husband. I've just started chemo again and hopefully will respond. I can relate to how you're feeling but like everyone tells us..stay strong stay positive..we obviously are and will remain so always! Good luck to you and was good to hear your story. Take care and keep in touch Kx
