Hi, this time last year everything was kicking off within my body and begining of this yr i was diagnosed with metatisic breast cancer stage 4 spread to sturnem, breast collar bone lymph nodes and fluid on lung, 11 months on after 6 cycles of chemo then 5 months of letrozole im still responding to treatment which is fantastic as in Jan i was told we cant cure you we can treat you, i recently went for a Dexa scan to show my bone density results have shown borderline osteporosis ? They have given me alendronic acid tablet to take and i have read that bisphosphonates help with cancer, im feeling good at the moment but im wondering if i take this how i will feel ? I dont mind taking the new tablet and anything is a bonus but im begining to hava a slight pain in my other side of chest now and my mind is doing over time thinking all sorts, which is very hard not too, i do feel sometimes i think the slightest pain is it starting again, justfeeling a little congused and nervous, as we all do

  • Hello, hellsbells, However well things appear to be going and however well you feel there always seems to be that nagging feeling that something may be wrong.  It's with us all the time - we know we should enjoy the good, pain free, symptom free times but sometimes it's a big ask!  I was laying on the bed the other day having alittle rest when I had a pain in my foot and wondered if it was possible to get cancer in your big toe.  Honestly, sometimes I want to slap myself.

I do hope you are managing to get through this and think positive.  Best of luck! x
