Hormone therapy

My husband is having hormone therapy but i am confused. Should my husband be eating foods rich in minerals/nutrients to keep his prostate healthy, or will these be working against the injection of Zoladex?  His PSA has come down but still needs to be reduced.  Should my husband be eating foods high in since and magnesium if these are good for the prostate?  Or should he be leaving out foods like these?  All the cancer nurse specialist at the hospital said was he could eat anything, even high sugar, high fat and high salt foods.

  • Hi Supportive wife,

When I was having zoladex for my hormone therapy I just carried on eating as normal. It's good your husbands psa has come down; zoladex is a very effective treatment. Together with radiotherapy, mine came down from 70 to 0.01 so take heart from my result.

Hope your husbands future reults are good, Brian.
