Hi and welcome to the forum. Chemo-brain is very real but I really would suggest that you discuss this symptom with the medical team as it can also be a symptom of disease spread and should be checked when hubbie has a scan. I had to ask for a scan and Mets was found in my brain. Fortunately treatment for that appears to have gone well at this present time. Always mention new symptoms, however bizarre. All the best to you and your hubbie. X
I'm not sure whether or not I had chemo brain when I was on chemo, but I did have issues with short term memory and woolly-headedness. That said, I was exhausted for about two or three days after each infusion and my sleep patterns were disrupted - which could explain my symptoms!
Cheers

morning. can realte to your husbands ear problems. i suffer from tinnitus and also apparently have very tiny ear canals resulting in very painful bouts of blocked ears which then give me migraines.
as for chemo brain....after my first treatment i had big problems with it and i found it quite up setting. this could have been due to many aspects of how i was feeling and my bodys reaction to first treatment.
i could not focus my thoughts, at all, on even simple things. it was like my head had been filled with fluff. forgetfullness and jsut not being able to think things out and taking a long time to do so. at the time it did upset me even tho i knew it was most likely due to the treatment and the meds, some of which can make you drowsy. best to mention it to the dr, but try not worry too much and try and work round it. mine did get better but its still there. have just accepted thats it just one of those things that goes with the treatment and it wont be forever.
not sure if this has helped, hope things settle and improve for you both
