Hi
Are we just expected to lay our teeth on the alter of survival, especially those of us with head &neck cancer?
Any good news teeth related stories out there or shall I just go shopping for straws?

Hi Kim
Thanks for that,Perhaps you should consider writing a recipe book for the afflicted.lt looks like I will be armed with a shopping list for the Oncologist this week I can't help but feel like it's playing 20 questions though?

Hi David
Someones already beat me to it. I think it was mentioned on this forum its called Brendas Easy-to-Swallow Cookbook. I haven't seen it though. Good luck with your visit to the oncologist. Kim
Hi Kim
I see it has been done so to speak www.headandneckcancer.co.uk/.../Recipe Ideas.aspx
I don't have any trouble swallowing, just with lack of taste I have had some success with a salty kedgeree and Aldi Italian ice cream with a chocolate flake sprinkled on top tonight mmm

thanks for your reply Kim. My husband is having an operation on his femur tomorrow. He will have a long nail from his hip to his knee bone put through the bone. I really don't sleep anymore. Thank you for the advice on dental care. Best wishes.
Can'tsleep.

as Kim has already explained, you should be on a 5 year medical exemption for all prescriptions. Cohapsol really helped me after radiation with my ulcers, but it took a good two months before I could eat without pain.
the taste issue I found to be the worst. I could deal with everything else, but eating is such a social thing and when you don't like the taste of food and can't really eat it, you feel an outcast.
i can eat almost everything now, a year on from finishing treatment, apart the sugary stuff.although my taste is back it's a a bit all over the place on some tastes, but if this is all I have then I am happy.
dvar get that pescription sorted
