Dear Ruybroo123654, I am so sorry to read about your sister.  My cancer was diagnosed through a tumour that was compressing on my spinal cord and I had to have emergency surgery on my back to remove the tumour as it was paralising me. The doctors initially thought it was a trapped nerve, sciatica or a slipped disc. They were shocked to find out when an MRI scan showed a tumour causing the problem and it was cancerous too. I was shocked to say the least. 

As a result I have terminal cancer but 4 years on after my surgery and radiotherapy, I am still here and can walk small distances and for longer ones I still have to use a wheelchair.  Like your sister, I had trouble using my legs and getting my brain to talk to my feet. I stuggled big time as to how I would ever walk again. With the help of a brace to support my back and a walking frame, the phsyios began the long journey of getting me to walk. It was hard but I got there.I had muscle wastage too from my legs not having used them properly from being first admitted to hospital and I had to work at building them up again.
