  • I was 57 when I was diagnosed with Lobular breast cancer 2 1/2 years ago.  I think during treatment you are so busy with appointments and coping with the side affects, that when it has finished you have time to think more clearly?  I went to the Moving On sessions at my local hospital, these helped grately.  I think I grieved for the person I was before diagnosis, because I think it has changed me. But saying all this, I now feel quite well, and the old saying, time is a great healer, is true. We have a lot to adjust to, the hair loss, feeling tired, and other physical changes, it is no wonder it takes us quite a long time to come to terms with.

I do at times feel scared it will come back, but these times are fewer now, as I am sure they will be for you. I think, as others have said, it is good to talk.  Unfortunately I have a few friends who have been through the same, and say the same as you and me.  Coming to terms with this illness is difficult, but you will over time.

Keep posting, this site is a great help.
