Hair Loss with folfox 6

Hi has anyone had folfox 6 chemo? I was told my I wouldn't lose my hair with this there may be slight thinning. After my second round last week my hair started coming out in handfuls. A week later I would say iv lost about a third of my hair & am really upset about it. Has anyone else had any experiences like this. Any other experiences with side effects appreciated too. Thank You

    Hello Julie26,

    Welcome to the forum. I hope you will meet others here who have had this type of chemotherapy and a similar experience as you with regards to hair loss.

    In the meantime, I thought I would mention another post I saw on the forum recently where someone on cisplatin chemotherapy who was also told her hair would not fall out was also surprised to find that it was getting very thin. You can read her post here and feel free to respond to it if you wish.

    I will now let others who may have specific experience of Folfox 6 share their story with you!
