the big battle!

Hi,  I'm Fiona,  I turned 50 last September, all ok apart from big lack of energy - put that down to now being in my 'fifties'.  Got admitted to hospital end January with abdominal pain where they found masssive ovarian cancer growth (inoperable) and lung cancer which has since spread to my brain.   My prognosis was 6 weeks without treatment so in March I underwent 10 sessions of radiotherapy to try and shrink the brain tumours.  Currently waiting for appointments for scans etc... to see how things are going and in the mean time I'm trying to cope with the Chemotherapy course.  Wondered if there was anyone out there with similar diagnosis?

  • Hi, I am so sorry to hear of your diagnosis, I am sure it must have come as an awful shock.  I do hope you are coping with the radiotherapy and chemotherapy.  I am afraid I know nothing about your kind of cancer but I do understand how you must be feeling as I have been given a diagnosis of incurable cancer.

Fiona, please let us know when you are having your scans and appointments, I know from experience that having the support of like minded people on this forum is immensley helpful.  Wishing you well.
