Hi Christeo, I had DCIS, node testing clear (thank goodness) in 2011. As I choose mastecomy I was told I did not need radiotherapy. No further treatment was offered as it was still contained within the duct. What concern me a little is no testing was done to find if the cancer was homone dependant or what type - just said high grade and 2 cm.
Were you given any information other than DCIS at histology results? Consultants seem to treat DCIS differently to others.
You've been though a lot, and the road must seem long (I actually felt a bit under-treated) just wondering what is making you lean in the direction of not taking Tamoxifen? What information have your been given to base your decision on?
Take care, gardenlady
