Marty

I had jaw cancer diagnosed in 2011. I had an operation to remove it and they found it had spread further into my neck. I had 30 sessions of radiotherapy which i hoped had cleared it.

I had been having pain in my lower back for over a year and in August 2014 I was sent for a MRI scan at my local hospital.

I did not hear anything and in October I was at my GPs for something elase and enquired whether they had the results of my

MRI, the doctor could not see any results at all so she chased them up, the following week she called me to say I had a

fractured vetebrae and that I needed more tests. They done a biopsy and found I had a secondary cancer there which

fractured the vetebrae. I had 5 sessions of radiotherapy on the affected area.  They told me I had a primary cancer and they

thought it ws in my lungs or gullet. A MRI scan could not find any cancer there. I am still waiting to find out where the

pimary cancer is. Apparently it is not unusual they said, but have offered me no further scans to find it.
